It was nearly 2:00 am when a pounding at the front door and frenzied shouting woke the house. George was first to the door and threw it open to admit a sweat drenched messenger. Chapter 10

George went in the room the doctor was using for a theater in order to check on June's condition. She was now conscious but her pain was returning.
